The selection and difference of iron materials in the production of tin box packaging

2020-12-19

Many people think that the material used for  tin box packaging and tin can packaging is only one kind of tinplate material, but it is not. Tinplate is only the most commonly used iron material. In addition, there are galvanized iron, coated iron and other materials. In addition, tinplate is different according to different requirements of the product. For example, fros iron is differentted from ordinary tinplate.

1. Frosted iron is also called silver light iron, which is named differently from ordinary tinplate material. Even if the surface is not varnished, ordinary tinplate material will shine with silver and give off metallic luster. The frosted iron is not as bright as ordinary tinplate, and the surface is granular, which feels like sandpaper, hence the name frosted iron. Frosted iron is divided into coarse sand and fine sand. Professional tin packing factories and tin can factories will advise customers to use corresponding iron materials to highlight the design effect according to different concepts designed by customers.

2. Another commonly used iron material is galvanized iron, which is mostly used in ice buckets, iron buckets and other packaging products that require thicker materials. The adhesion of galvanized iron to ink is inferior to tinplate, so the surface is not conducive to the printing of complex and large-area patterns. The galvanized iron is thicker, and the commonly used ones are 0.30mm and 0.35mm. The most commonly used tinplate materials are 0.23mm, 0.25mm and 0.28mm.

3. Another special iron material is coated iron, also called laser film tinplate. It is coated with a special material film on the surface of tinned tinplate. The cost of this iron material is higher than that of ordinary iron material. The film, so the surface is colorful, showing different effects from different angles.
