Drying process of tin plate sheet printed cans

2021-11-04

In the drying process of tin plate sheet printed cans , the paint and ink need to be dried in an authentic oven. The drying condition of tinplate printing ink is generally between 130°C and 160°C, and the time is controlled at about 10 minutes. The drying condition of the coating is between 170℃210℃. The authentic oven is about 30 meters long. It is composed of 3 stages, namely heating zone, constant temperature zone and cooling zone.

  1. The heating zone is the first stage after the electrolytic tinplate steel in sheet enters the oven. The primary function is to raise the tin plate sheet printed from room temperature to the set temperature

2. The primary function of the constant temperature zone is to maintain the temperature reached by the heating zone.

3. The function of the cooling zone is to fully cool the dried tin plate custom print. Once cooling is not possible, the paint film is easily scratched when the tin plate custom print is stacked, and the stacking fork is prone to sticking. The baking time and The speed of the machine is related. If the speed is too fast, the entire monotonic time will be shortened. During the peak temperature time, the paint and ink are not sufficiently baked, which leads to the tenderness of the paint film caused by the monotonous impermeability of the ink and paint. Eventually, the food or drink will become unflavored after being in contact with it.

If the machine speed is too slow, it will cause overbake. In this case, many coatings will become brittle and prone to paint peeling or paint explosion during post-processing. At the same time, excessive baking can also cause discoloration of the coating ink. The way to avoid poor baking is to check the curve chart in the oven's automatic temperature controller on time to ensure the temperature peak time under the standard time.
